Abstract
⺠Reactions of hexabromocyclododecane with reduced sulfur species were investigated. ⺠Reaction rates of HBCD with polysulfides and bisulfide were determined. ⺠γ-HBCD reacts faster than α-HBCD. ⺠Two degradation products were observed. ⺠Sulfur species are sufficiently reactive as to control fate of HBCD in anoxic environments.
