Abstract
⺠Four literature soil respiration models were compared using a large data-set. ⺠Two new models were proposed and compared against literature models. ⺠Proposed models explicitly included season and sub surface zones in the peat. ⺠Proposed models accounted for a greatest proportion of the variance.
