Abstract
Indoor air concentrations of radon and radon short-lived decay products, equilibrium factors, unattached fractions of radon short-lived decay products (fun), relative humidity and temperature have been measured in Slovenian schools, with an emphasis on fun as the crucial parameter in dose assessment. The following geometric mean and geometric standard deviation values, respectively, were obtained: CRn: 700 Bq m−3 and 3.29; CRnDP: 441 Bq m−3 and 3.07; F: 0.59 and 1.30; and fun: 0.12 and 1.43. Dose conversion factors, based on the measured fun values were compared to epidemiology based value of 5 mSv/WLM.
