Abstract
⺠This manuscript highlights the sorption and desorption behavior of arsenate on guava orchard soils of Baruipur, West Bengal, India. ⺠The result elucidates that soil properties controls the sorption and desorption behavior of arsenate. ⺠Sorption of arsenate followed by retention of sorbed arsenate suggests that As in the orchard soils may not be highly bioavailable to plants for uptake.
