Abstract
►The panchromatic and multispectral scenes of SPOT5 are acquired with a time lag. ►There are different positions of the CCDs in the focal plane of the instrument. ►We use the temporal lag to measure the ocean surface velocity field. ►We compare and discuss the results against a swell propagation model. ►The method is proven reliable and can be extended to other push-broom sensors.
