Abstract
► Colloids were found to be mobile even in the extremely saline brines. ► 30% of the colloids were found to be transported through 30-cm long columns. ► Breakthrough curves exhibited a bimodal shape that was successfully modeled. ► The breakthrough curve bimodal nature suggests different rates of attachment. ► This model provided confirmation of accelerated attachment in high salinity.
