Abstract
⺠Assessment of particulate metal fluxes to coastal and deep-sea environments. ⺠Considerable contribution of oceanic floods to annual scenarios. ⺠The Gulf of Lion acts as a sink for sediment-bound metals, based on mean scenarios. ⺠Shelf-exported particles inherit the signature of bottom shelf sediments. ⺠Environmental impact depends on the frequency and the intensity of oceanic floods.
