Abstract
⺠The paper describes a new rapid and autonomous mooring deployment method. ⺠Deployment reduces from hours to minutes, as all preparations are done onshore. ⺠At sea, no other gear is required than a device to lift a load of about 2000 kg. ⺠Compact moorings bring airborne and non-research vessel deployments into reality.
