Abstract
⺠A 3-month field experiment in Henderson Creek tidal creek, New Zealand. âºÂ During spates, freshwater displaced saltwater from the tidal creek. âºÂ During one spate 33% of catchment sediment runoff was exported from tidal creek. ⺠Between spates tidal currents deposited sediment in upper reaches of tidal creek. ⺠Return of sediment to tidal creek between spates was enhanced by wind waves.
