Abstract
⺠We studied the temporal variability in larvacean abundance and production. ⺠Among eleven larvacean species found, Oikopleura longicauda was the most abundant. ⺠Higher abundance and biomass occurred when the water column was stratified. ⺠Larvacean had low biomass, but high secondary and detritus production.
