Abstract
⺠We modeled length-dependent and growth-dependent mortality in larval Arctic cod. ⺠Combining length- and growth-dependent mortalities improved survival estimates. ⺠As size increased, growth-dependent superseded length-dependent mortality. ⺠Sub-sampling the model output to mirror in situ sampling improved the model fit. ⺠The under-sampling of the smallest larvae was identified as a major bias.
