Abstract
⺠Artemia productivity in Uzbek part of Aral Sea is low due to food limitation. ⺠By 2007 eastern Large Aral had virtually ceased to exist as open water body. ⺠By 2007 the western Large Aral showed moderately increasing productivity. ⺠Aral Sea is approaching threshold for small-scale commercial exploitation.
