Abstract
⺠North Atlantic Oscillation is a dominant factor that influences the variability of Gilbert Bay. ⺠Recent climate warming in the late 1990s of coastal Labrador was found to be unrelated to NAO. ⺠Warmer marine environment may enhance the growth of Gilbert Bay cod population. ⺠Reduced sea-ice formation increases the danger of traveling across the bay by snowmobile.
