Abstract
⺠Maldivian sands resulted well diversified. ⺠Meiofaunal abundance and richness were strongly affected by erosion effects. ⺠General meiofauna was not able to distinguish the different sedimentation rates. ⺠Nematodes distinguished each type of hydrodynamic condition and energy level.
