Abstract
► We quantified the sponge depositions on the beach throughout the year. ► Sponge depositions occur throughout the year but with a marked seasonality. ► The higher amounts of biomass occur mainly during the spring-summer transition. ► Sponge depositions were influenced by local weather and oceanographic conditions. ► Elevated growth forms were the most affected during the summer transition.
