Abstract
⺠We quantified the sponge depositions on the beach throughout the year. ⺠Sponge depositions occur throughout the year but with a marked seasonality. ⺠The higher amounts of biomass occur mainly during the spring-summer transition. ⺠Sponge depositions were influenced by local weather and oceanographic conditions. ⺠Elevated growth forms were the most affected during the summer transition.
