Abstract
⺠A DEB model for cockles is presented. ⺠A calibration is done with an extensive set of field data on cockle growth. ⺠Cockle shell length is well described by the model. ⺠The model underestimates the variation in AFDW during the early Summer. ⺠The DEB model has been compared with a scope for growth model called COCO.
