Abstract
⺠A Generalized Multiple Discrete Interaction Approximation (GMD) for wind waves is presented. ⺠The GMD represents the first four-wave interaction even in extremely shallow water. ⺠A set of GMD configuration with increasing cost and decreasing error is presented. ⺠The GMD removes significant errors in wave heights in hurricane conditions. ⺠The GMD improves spectral shapes in all conditions.
