Abstract
⺠Interpolant enabling preservation of steady geostrophically balanced states. ⺠Demonstrated in the context of linearised shallow-water modelling. ⺠Balance is preserved to machine precision when interpolating onto arbitrary meshes. ⺠Avoids divergence errors when applied to nearly balanced states.
