Abstract
⺠Knowledge on controlling factors of spatial patterns of copepods in the upwelling zone is provided. ⺠Copepod size seems a key factor to assess spatial patterns of diversity in the upwelling zone. ⺠Upwelling may structure spatial diversity of copepods in the mesoscale domain. ⺠The oxygen minimum zone dynamics influences copepod diversity in the coastal zone.
