Abstract
⺠Spatial-temporal characteristics of precipitation are investigated for a small domain in North-Eastern Germany using variogram analysis. ⺠The spatial representativity of hourly, daily and weekly precipitation amounts measured by a single station is representative for an area of about 10 km2. ⺠The occurrence of precipitation detected at a single station was nearly always representative for a distance of up to 25 km increasing the time scale increased the representativity significantly. ⺠Uncertainty factors are determined for daily, weekly and monthly precipitation amounts.
