Abstract
⺠A parameterized model for local infiltration into two-layered soils is proposed. ⺠The model considers the upper soil layer much more permeable than the subsoil. ⺠The model relies on some parameterized forms of the main hydraulic quantities. ⺠The model uses algebraic equations for ponding time and soil infiltration capacity. ⺠The model requires a low computational effort and can be extended to field-scale.
