Abstract
This paper establishes a grey relational method to test for change-points in hydrological data and illustrates its applications to the river net area of Shunde in China. A new concept, the translational relational degree, has also been introduced. We propose three translational relational degree formulae, which have been shown to better reflect the geometric proximity among sequences than existing grey relational degree formulae. These formulae produce consistent results leading to similar conclusions.
