Locally s-transitive graphs

In this paper we show that for any graph Γ which is locally s-transitive with respect to some G≤Aut(Γ), s≤9 if the valency of each vertex is at least 3 and the vertex stabilizers in G are finite. Moreover, we determine the structure of the vertex stabilizers if s≥6.
