Abstract
As a generalization of a resolving subcategory, which was introduced by Auslander and Bridger in [2], the notion of a quasi-resolving subcategory of an abelian category is introduced. The homological theory on quasi-resolving subcategories is studied. It is shown that many results in [1], [2], [4], [5], [6], [8], [13], [14], [17], [18], [22], [25], [26] and [27] are unified and naturally generated.
