Overgroup lattices in finite groups of Lie type containing a parabolic

The main theorem is a step in a program to show there exist finite lattices that are not an interval in the lattice of subgroups of any finite group. As part of the proof of the main theorem, we prove a theorem on the structure of maximal parabolics in finite groups of Lie type, which is of independent interest.
