Abstract

In this paper, we compute the lower bound of the absolute trace of totally positive reciprocal algebraic integers with the use of an explicit auxiliary function and prove that all but finitely many totally positive reciprocal algebraic integers α   have tr(α)/d>1.8945909⋯tr(α)/d>1.8945909⋯.
