Abstract

We prove that if φ:Mn(C)→Mn(C)φ:Mn(C)→Mn(C) is a bijective map which preserves the reduced minimum modulus on differences of matrices, then φ is automatically bicontinuous and therefore, by a result of Mashreghi and Stepanyan, of a standard form.
