Abstract
Let SâMn(C) be nonsingular such that SâTS is normal (that is, the cosquare of S is normal). Set ÏS(A)=Sâ1ATS for AâMn(C). We determine conditions on A so that A has a ÏS polar decomposition. We also find the possible Jordan Canonical Forms of a ÏS orthogonal matrix and of a ÏS skew symmetric matrix in the cases (a) 1âÏ(SâTS) and (b) â1âÏ(SâTS).
