Abstract
In this paper, we prove the converse of a well known result in the field of the numerical range. In fact, we show that for a matrix A∈Mn, if the inclusion σ(AB)⊆W(A)W(B) holds for all matrices B∈Mn, then A is a scalar multiple of a positive semidefinite matrix.
