Abstract
The stability preserving model reduction algorithm for the discrete time case [S. Feldmann, P. Lang, A least squares approach to reduce stable discrete linear systems preserving their stability, LAA 381 (2004) 141–163] is extended to both the identification and reduction of continuous time systems. The obtained reduction algorithm turns out to be c-stability preserving.
