Abstract
In this note we address the minimax properties of the subspace distance and the singular values of a matrix, and point out that a theorem in [G.H. Golub, C.F. Van Loan, Matrix Computations, 3rd ed., John Hopkins University Press, Baltimore, MD, 1996] is incomplete.
