The Russo–Dye theorem in nest subalgebras of factors

Let NN be a nest in a factor RR. In this paper, we introduce the concept of the admissible nest for RR and prove that the weak operator topology closure of the convex hull of all the unitary elements in the nest subalgebra of the factor is the unit ball if and only if NN is an admissible nest in RR.
