Abstract
We prove well-posedness for a recently proposed turbulence model, and derive an estimate for its modeling error. The model is derived from the fourth order representation of the Stolz–Adams approximate deconvolution model by making an additional deconvolution approximation to reduce the model to second order, which also allows the model to be computed with efficient and unconditionally stable algorithms.
