Abstract
It is known that if a closed subset of a uniformly convex and uniformly smooth Banach space has a Lipschitz continuous metric projection in some neighborhood then this set is proximally smooth. We obtain an estimate for the constant of proximal smoothness of such set. The obtained estimate is precise in the Hilbert space.
