Abstract
This paper studies existence of a stationary solution to a tumor growth model proposed by Ward and King in 1997 and 1998, with biologically reasonable modifications. Mathematical formulation of this problem is a two-point free boundary problem of a system of ordinary differential equations, one of which is singular at boundary points. By using the Schauder fixed point theorem we prove existence of a solution for this problem.
