Abstract
The paper considers an inverse eigenvalue problem of Jacobi matrix which is obtained from reconstruction of a fixed-free mass-spring system of size 2n2n from its spectrum and from existing physical parameters of the first half of the particles. The necessary and sufficient conditions for the solvability of the problem are derived. Two numerical algorithms and some numerical examples are given.
