Abstract
In this work, KP equation with positive dispersion is studied. By virtue of Hirota bilinear method and generalized three-wave type of Ansatz approach we obtain the breather-type multi-solitary waves with fission and fusion behaviors of KP equation. Based on the structures of those (2 + 1)-dimensional solutions and show via computer simulation, the fission and fusion interactions characteristics of breather-type multi-solitary waves solutions are discussed which might provide us with the useful information on the dynamics of the relevant physical fields.
