Abstract
The problem of reflection and transmission of elastic waves due to incident plane couple longitudinal waves at a plane interface between two dissimilar half-spaces of thermo-elastic materials with voids has been investigated. Using the theory of Iesan (1986), the propagation of couple longitudinal waves in the thermo-elastic materials with voids has been explained. The expressions of the reflection and transmission coefficients and energy ratios corresponding to reflected and transmitted waves are obtained. These coefficients and energy ratios of the various reflected and transmitted waves are computed numerically for a specific model.
