Abstract
The finite volume scheme of Vijayasundaram and Osher–Solomon type for shallow water equations are proposed. The numerical results with discontinuous initial condition and the comparison with Lax–Friedrichs numerical flux are presented for homogeneous case. The extension of the method for the inhomogeneous case is described.
