Abstract
This paper obtains the 1-soliton solution of the generalized Dullin–Gottwald–Holm equation by the aid of solitary wave ansatz. Subsequently, the conserved quantities are obtained by utilising the interplay between the multipliers and underlying Lie point symmetry generators of the equation.
