Abstract
In this paper, a simple method is proposed for constructing more general exact solutions of nonlinear partial differential equations. We choose the Camassa and Holm–Degasperis and Procesi equation and the generalized b family equations to illustrate the validity and advantages of the method. As a result, many new and more general exact solutions are obtained. Some previous results are extended.
