Abstract
Exact periodic solitary wave solutions for Kadomtsev-Petviashvili equation are obtained by using the Hirota bilinear method. The result shows that there exists periodic solitary waves in the different directions for (2Â +Â 1)-dimensional Kadomtsev-Petviashvili equation.
