Abstract
In this paper, a sine-cosine method is used to construct many periodic and solitary wave solutions to two nonlinear evolution systems: the coupled quadratic nonlinear equations and the coupled Klein-Gordon-Schrödinger equations. Under different parameter conditions, explicit formulas for some new periodic and solitary wave solutions are successfully obtained. The proposed solutions are found to be important for the explanation of some practical physical problems.
