Abstract
In this Letter, a generalized extended rational expansion method is used to construct exact solutions of the (1Â +Â 1)-dimensional dispersive long wave equation. As a result, many new and more general exact solutions are obtained, the solutions obtained in this Letter include rational triangular periodic wave solutions, rational solitary wave solutions.
