Abstract
In this work we formally derive travelling wave solutions for the Burgers, Fisher, Huxley equations and combined forms of these equations. The tanh–coth method is used to determine these sets of travelling wave solutions. Kinks and periodic wave solutions are constructed. The proposed scheme can be used to a wide class of nonlinear evolution equations.
