Abstract
In a recent paper [M.A. Noor, K.I. Noor, Three-step iterative methods for nonlinear equations, Applied Mathematics and Computation 183 (2006) 322-327], a three-step iterative method with third-order convergence for solving nonlinear equations has been presented. In this paper, we show that the iterative method given by the authors has quadratic convergence, not the third-order one suggested in their work.
