Abstract
Reflection from insulated and isothermal stress-free surface of a thermoelastic solid half-space under hydrostatic initial stress is studied. The reflection coefficients as well as energy ratios of reflected waves are obtained for the incidence of P and SV waves. The effect of hydrostatic initial stresses is shown graphically on reflection coefficients and energy ratios.
