Abstract
In this paper we study a finite volume element approximation of pseudo-parabolic equations in three spatial dimensions. The triquadratic elements are used as solution space to obtain a high order convergence rate. Based on some special dual partition, we prove the optimal error estimate in H1-norm of second order accuracy. Numerical results are also given at the end to demonstrate the efficiency of the method.
