Abstract
A mathematical model will be analyzed in order to study the effects of thermal radiation on the laminar boundary layer about a flat-plate. The complete boundary layer equations are solved numerically and the variations of dimensionless surface temperature and heat transfer characteristics for different values of Prandtl number Pr and radiation parameter NR are graphed and tabulated. An interesting result of the analysis is that as the value of NR increases, a diminution in the thermal radiation’s effect occurs.
