Abstract
For the first time, a cultivation policy of a single living species is outlined via an evolutionary method, when it's growth and deterioration rates are time dependent following two parameter Weibull distribution and also have some self-inhibiting effect on growth. The species are cultivated for a single period only. A genetic algorithm has been developed and implemented to find the initial amount of biomass of the species and withdrawal schedule to have maximum possible profit out of the system. The system has been illustrated numerically and results for some particular cases are obtained.
